A rural Welsh garden landscaping and stonework project.

Gwaenysgor raised seating area

When Mike and Sharon Devlin commissioned my team and I to build a raised stone seating area in their garden in a rural North Wales village, they were looking for a space which takes in the specular views. They wanted an area which felt in-keeping with the house and its surroundings.

We worked through the summer to build a new raised seating area and a large retaining stone wall.

  • Full site clearance and leveling

  • Large new retaining wall

  • New stone steps

  • Expanded seating area

  • Pathways laid using tumbled sandstone setts
